Police break into late politician Kihika Kimani's houses as property row rages on

Police last night forcefully broke into three houses belonging to the family of late politician Kihika Kimani to recover allegedly stolen items from a private school worth Sh15 million.

Among the houses at Engachura farm in Nakuru where the goods were recovered, is one allegedly belonging to Nakuru County Speaker Susan Kihika who is embroiled in a bitter row over property with her seven step-mothers. The property is mainly school items belonging to Mr Lawrence Karani, proprietor of Talanta Boys High School, located within the 42-acre farm. Karani had leased the property from the Kihikas but a dispute between the seven widows on one side and Alice Muhuhi (Susan’s biological mother) saw him kicked out of the premises.
