Nakuru hotel gets global recognition from Booking.com

Eagle Palace Hotel, a boutique hotel in Nakuru has won international recognition after Booking.com, a travel fare aggravator headquartered in the Netherlands awarded it 8.6 marks out of 10 in the guest review.

According to Hotel General Manager, Mr Farid Abdallah, the hotel was officially handed over a plaque last week by local officials from Booking. com.

''We are delighted once again to have been honoured by Booking.com to receive this award. It is from guest reviews that a hotel attains the marks that we got,'' Abdalah said.

He said that the hotel has continued to win some local and international awards since it opened its doors to the public in 2015 with 39 rooms, a restaurant, and four meeting halls.

The GM said that the desire to excel in the hospitality industry has seen the hotel owners led by director, Mr Ibrahim Mohamed Osman invest in high-end infrastructure and additional amenities at the facility.

'' The needs of clients keep on changing and as a hotel we are well aware of the ever-changing needs of clients be they local or international,'' he said.

He said as part of their ongoing expansion plans, they are set to add more room that will see the incorporation of 30 additional ones, the introduction of a multi-cuisine restaurant, modern coffee shop, state of the art gymnasium and a new modern conference hall.

''At Eagle Palace, we remain alive to the fact that conference tourism is picking up so well hence the need to tap in into this new market for the hospitality industry and the great location of our hotel within this beautiful county of Nakuru '' the GM said.

Other awards the hotel has won in the recent past include Travel Myth Top three hotels in Nakuru in 2017, Trip Advisor certificate of excellence award 2017, Jumia Travel Travellers Choice 2017 and Gohotels.com 2017 for outstanding service.
