Video of Farouk Kibet suggestively parading Lamu MP as 'wife material' resurfaces: 'Hajaolewa'

In the footage, Farouk appears to encourage men in the audience to express romantic interest in the lawmaker. "Huyu mama anatosha, hatoshi? Ako sawa, si sawa? Lakini wacha niambie vijana wa Ainabkoi habari mzuri. Huyu mama hajaolewa. Na yeye ako na mshahara. Kile anataka tu ni mwanaume mweusi kutoka hapa," he asked a cheering crowd. "Nani ako tayari kumchukua huyu mrembo? Mko tayari? Weka mkono namna hii ya application!" he asked amid more cheers. In response, Muthoni giggled and blew a kiss toward the audience. @kijanawakindiki #CapCut original sound - Kijana Wa Kindiki The remarks were made from a podium during a women's empowerment forum in Ainabkoi, attended by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula, Area MP Samuel Chepkonga, Uasin Gishu Woman Rep Gladys Shollei, Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, among other leaders. The video has since triggered outrage online, with Kenyans expressing disappointment and anger over the conduct. Reggy commented, "Vijana wanataftiwa wamama badala ya kazi jameni!" Wiki Mwashigadi added, "The leadership of this country is truly an embarrassment." Another user wrote, "What kind of leaders do we have surely?" This incident follows closely on the heels of another controversial video in which Farouk made objectifying comments about Nominated MP Sabina Chege, again in front of a charged crowd. In that video, Farouk referenced her physical appearance in a manner that many have since condemned as inappropriate. "Huyu mama ako sawa ama hayuko sawa? Hata vile alivyo? Akipinduka hivi mnafurahi? Siku zote? Huyo mama akiwa kwa kitanda si unalala kabisa eh? Utaamka kesho ingine sio, atosha hatoshi?" he said. The remarks drew widespread condemnation from both the public and political figures. Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua, speaking during a meeting with members of the Kenyan business community in Massachusetts, described the incident as "indecent" and "humiliating." "It's one of my most painful moments as a leader. I felt humiliated and demeaned; that Ruto and his people have brought us to this point," he said. "I solely train my guns on Sabina Chege. She was giggling and laughing while they discussed her sexuality. She just grinned and laughed as if it was something funny," Gachagua added.
