It wasn't me at Kasarani, Prof George Wajackoyah clears air

Roots Party presidential candidate Prof George Wajackoyah has dispelled reports that he has joined Azimio la Umoja.

Prof Wajackoyah said his look-alike was at the Azimio rally in Kasarani Stadium, which misled the public into thinking he had jumped ship and joined his opponents.

The lawyer-cum-politician has blamed his competitors for paying bloggers to discredit his candidature and has reassured his supporters of victory on August 9.

Speaking in Nairobi on August 7, 2022, while campaigning for Roots party's Highrise MCA Arjun Chauhan, Wajackoyah reaffirmed that he will be on the ballot and is ready to revitalise the economy through the "weed trade".

"The problem of borrowing will be a thing of the past. I want to ask religious leaders not to have those misconceptions because even in Israel they read the Bible and ganja is legal in the Bible," he said.

He criticised Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and Kenya Kwanza's William Ruto for promising Kenyans projects worth billions without explaining where they will get the funds.

"They don't tell us where the money will come from. I want Ruto and Raila to be accountable of the wealth they have. We have a solution and our revenue will come from marijuana," said Wajackoyah.

The marijuana crusader asked Kenyans to "awaken their consciousness" and follow the steps of dozens of countries like Canada, Zimbabwe and Morocco that have legalised marijuana.

Wajackoyah has rallied his supporters to come out in huge numbers and vote for a leader who understands the plight of the wananchi.
