Defiant Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has accused Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangí and his Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho of misusing their powers to intimidate him for political gains.

“I want to caution our CS Matiang’i and his PS Kibicho on the job you have been given by President Uhuru Kenyatta, you must never misuse those instruments by intimidating politicians,” said Ndindi Nyoro.

Ndindi claims that he has been receiving threats alongside his counterpart Kandara MP Alice Wahome for supporting William Ruto and Tangatanga movement.

The embattled MP alleges that he was asked to ‘sell’ Raila Odinga in Murangá which he termed a political suicide for him because his constituents cannot ‘buy’ Raila.

“There is no way you will call me and tell me to sell Raila in Murangá by force yet I know he cannot be bought. If there is a problem, they should deal with the Murangá citizens and not me,” added Nindi.

The lawmaker says that he is not scared and cannot be intimidated since his constituents are fully behind him.

“I might be thin and emaciated but I want to tell them, people from Kiharu are not intimidated. Wherever I am people of Kiharu are there,” said Ndindi.

When asked about where he slept on the night when he was being sought by police officers, Ndindi said he could not disclose the location but claims to have been housed by one of his constituents in Kiharu.

The Kiharu MP is being sought by police for allegedly assaulting a police officer and during a fracas at Gitui Catholic Church on Sunday which involved nominated MP Maina Kamanda
