ANC fully registered as Mudavadi hits UK for political tour

Amani party leader Musalia Mudavadi

After waiting for four months, former Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC) has secured full registration.

Registrar of Political Parties Lucy Ndung'u, handed over the registration certificate to ANC officials led by Secretary General Godfrey Osotsi on Thursday as Mudavadi is on a two-week political tour of United Kingdom.

In London, Mudavadi met the British doyen of liberal democratic politics Lord David Martin Scott Steel to discuss devolution among other issues.

Their talks were centred on best practices for liberal democracy and international links. ANC experts are working on the party policy paper.

"Mudavadi will be seeking for exchange programmes with like-minded political parties for ANC to have an opportunity to study the working of political party systems in Britain. Such links will be important for ANC growth", said Kibisu Kabatesi, Mudavadi's spokesperson.
