Let's embrace AI for better, efficient future of work

[iStockphoto] With changing times, many things are changing and technology is on an upward trajectory - this should be growth that should work for the betterment of the whole world. At the centre of many talks is Artificial intelligence (AI) which refers to the simulation of human intelligence by software-coded heuristics. Nowadays, this code is prevalent in everything from cloud-based, enterprise applications to consumer apps and even embedded firmware. The year 2022 brought AI into the mainstream through widespread familiarity with applications of Generative Pre-Training Transformer. The most popular application is OpenAI's ChatGPT. The widespread fascination with ChatGPT made it synonymous with AI in the minds of most consumers. However, it represents only a small portion of the ways that AI technology is being used today. Artificial intelligence is based on the principle that human intelligence can be defined in a way that a machine can easily mimic it and execute tasks, from the most simple to those that are even more complex. The goals of artificial intelligence include mimicking human cognitive activity. Despite of familiarity, AI is a technology that is transforming every walk of life. It is a wide-ranging tool that enables people to rethink how we integrate information, analyze data, and use the resulting insights to improve decision-making. Main types of AI Reactive machines: These are AI systems that have no memory and are task-specific, meaning that an input always delivers the same output. Machine learning models tend to be reactive machines because they take customer data, such as a purchase or search history, and use it to deliver recommendations to the same customers. Limited memory: This algorithm imitates the way our brains' neurons work together, meaning that it gets smarter as it receives more data to train on. Deep learning improves image recognition and other types of reinforcement learning. Limited memory AI, unlike reactive machines, can look into the past and monitor specific objects or situations over time. Then, these observations are programmed into the AI so that its actions can perform based on both past and present moment data. Theory of mind: These are AI types that will be built in the future. As such, there aren't any real-world examples yet. If it is developed, the theory of mind AI could have the potential to understand the world and how other entities have thoughts and emotions. In turn, this affects how they behave in relation to those around them. Self-awareness: The grand finale for the evolution of AI would be to design systems that have a sense of self, a conscious understanding of their existence. This type of AI does not exist yet. This goes a step beyond theory of mind AI and understanding emotions, to being aware of themselves, their state of being, and being able to sense or predict others' feelings. Some of the uses of AI Artificial intelligence technology has created new opportunities to progress on critical issues such as health, education, and the environment. In some cases, AI may do things more efficiently or methodically than humans. AI tools are helping designers improve computational sophistication in health care. For instance, Merantix is a German company that applies deep learning to medical issues. In my opinion, transportation represents an area where AI and machine learning are producing major innovations for safety, efficiency, revenue generation and accuracy management systems. Autonomous vehicles- cars, trucks, buses, and drone delivery systems use advanced technological capabilities. Those features include automated vehicle guidance and braking, lane-changing systems, the use of cameras and sensors for collision avoidance, the use of AI to analyze information in real time, and the use of high-performance computing and deep learning systems to adapt to new circumstances through detailed maps. Metropolitan governments are using AI to improve urban service delivery. One of the biggest advantages of Artificial Intelligence is that it can significantly reduce errors and increase accuracy and precision. The decisions taken by AI in every step is decided by information previously gathered and a certain set of algorithms. When programmed properly, these errors can be reduced to null. Private and public sectors can use Artificial Intelligence integrated programs to give excellence in customer service, safety, enhanced security, manage mass data and improve social services across the world .
