Recreation and entertainment complex Village Market has launched a loyalty programme to reward shoppers.

The shopping mall, through the programme dubbed Bonus Bonus Card seeks to increase clients’ traffic amid heightened competition from new malls.

The programme, which will be implemented in conjunction with tenants at the mall, will see customers awarded redeemable points for the cash spent on shopping.

Speaking at the launch, Dr Manoj Shah, a director of Greenhills Investment Ltd, the developers and managers of Village Market, said shoppers will be rewarded with discounted vouchers, gifts and exclusive access to events.

“The opening of the new recreation facilities has given a huge boost to the mall as Nairobi residents enjoy the bowling facility. The community around us has been our biggest ambassadors and for that we are grateful,” Mr Shah said.

He said the management would also continue to transform and upgrade the facilities to keep abreast with modern trends in the mall industry.

Mr Shah said they are currently in negotiations with two banks which are looking to open new branches at the mall.

Apart from the Bonus Card programme, the mall is also lining up the Think Global Eat Local Campaign which will award receivers with a round trip business class ticket to Paris.
