Kenyan leasing firm enters Ugandan market

Kenyan leasing company, Vehicle and Equipment Leasing Ltd (VAELL) has entered the Ugandan market by taking up Airtel Uganda as a client. The top leasing firm will now be leasing 43 Ford Ranger units to the Ugandan telco for a period of 48 months. Anna Asio, the VAELL Leasing Manager said VAELL has invested over Sh400 million in the Uganda market this year. She added that the investment demonstrates VAELL’s confidence in the telecommunications sector in East Africa, which will be driving economies in the next decade. VAELL also has a car leasing agreement with the Kenyan government.
