The Communist Party of Kenya (CPK) is set to hold its delegates' conference on November 16 and 17.

The meeting comes amid mounting internal divisions and state-backed repression.

The event will bring together delegates from all 47 counties along with international representatives from communist and workers' organisations.

The party’s Vice-Chairman Booker Omole said the conference marks a critical juncture for the party, which has faced increasing political repression.

“Our leadership and members continue to face physical and digital surveillance, state-backed attacks, and betrayal from opportunistic factions,” Omole said.

Keep Reading business

The CPK Majority faction, led by Kinuthia Ndung’u, will convene the conference following a successful rectification program.

Omole confirmed that 126 delegates and 54 international representatives will attend, reaffirming the party’s commitment to Marxism-Leninism and the struggle for Kenya’s working class.
