The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has issued a notice to the public saying its Nairobi and regional warehouses will remain closed for five days.
The closure will take effect from Monday, July 3, to Friday, July 7.
In a notice in the Standard on Tuesday, KEMSA said the warehouses will remain closed for the annual stock-taking process.
"During this period, all receipts and dispatches of medical supplies will be suspended. Only emergency cases will be attended to.
"Normal Sales and Warehouse operations will resume on Monday, July 10," reads the notice.
The Medical Authority has recently shot to the limelight, following the mosquito nets scandal.
The newly appointed Kemsa board, now a month into office, is reviewing the structure of the agency to enhance efficiency.
Among the areas the board is looking at improving include ways of enhancing the authority's relationships with stakeholders.
