State effects transfer of 132 Deputy County Commissioners

The government has effected the transfer of 132 Deputy County Commissioners (DCCs) in efforts to enhance security ahead of the August General Election.

In the reshuffle effected from February 11 by Interior and National Coordination Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, some DCCs have been recalled to the office of the President for deployment.

"The transfers are normal as the officers have a role to play in matters pertaining security and coordination of the national government services in sub-counties," said the PS.

David Rotich has been moved to Machakos from Gatanga sub-county in Murang'a. Geoffrey Njuguna from the Office of the President has been posted to Machakos.

Long-serving administrator Charles Muriithi has been moved from Juja in Kiambu to Tetu sub-county in Nyeri. Damaris Wangui Kimondo from Mwatate has been transferred to Juja.

James Kamau heads to Kieni West sub-county from Makindu in Makueni county while Personal Assistant to Nairobi Regional Coordinator Jane Nthenya has been transferred to Kilungu sub-county.

Emma Kibarara has been transferred from Mathioya to Kakamega East, with Thomas Kiplagat from Kimilili replacing her.

Misheck Kibugu Mwangi has been transferred from Murang’a County Commissioner Office to Eldas sub-county in Wajir County.

Benjamin Nzioka from Laikipia North has been moved to Mt Elgon.
