Police shootout: DCI arrest three suspects on their radar, recover guns

DCI officers recover 2 guns and four rounds of ammunition at scene of shoot-out along Ladhies Road, Nairobi.

DCI detectives have arrested three robbery suspects.

The detectives say the three are notorious criminals who had been on their radar.

DCI officers based in Kamukunji say they intercepted the criminals along Ladhies road in Nairobi’s Muthurwa estate.

A fierce shoot-out then occurred when the criminals began shooting at DCI officers, where they were challenged to surrender.

According to DCI, “three suspects were fatally wounded as the fourth one escaped towards Muthurwa Estate.”

The officers recovered two pistols, four rounds of ammunition and a pen knife at the scene of the shoot-out.

Police have now launched a manhunt for the fourth suspect.
