Pastor Nga'ng'a charged with threatening to kill journalist

Televangelist James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism was charged with threatening to kill Citizen journalist Linus Kaikai.

Mr Ng’ang’a (above), who appeared before Kiambu Principal Magistrate Justus Kituku, also faced a second count of incitement to violence and disobeying the law.

The cleric denied the charges and was released on Sh300,000 bond or Sh200,000 cash bail.

Ng’ang’a through his lawyers led by Charles Ogoto made an application seeking to have the media barred from covering the case.

The magistrate, however, ruled that the court had no power to block the media from covering any case.

Ng'ang'a was arrested at his church in Nairobi and locked up at Muthaiga Police Station.
