Comedian Patrick Salvado: I used to be paid with beer for performing

Patrick Idringi, popularly known as Salvado is a Ugandan comedian, actor, master of ceremonies, radio personality and a fully trained telecommunications engineer from Makerere University.

'The Man from Ombokolo,' as he commonly refers to himself, was born in 1985 on Valentine's Day.

His breakthrough came when he performed in "Night of a 1000 Laughs" in Nairobi in 2012 and 2013.

He later performed in many other comedy events including "Stand-Up Africa show" in South Africa, "Presidents of Laughrica" Malawi, "Kings of Comedy" Kigali and the "First Africa Laughs comedy show" in Kampala an event he organised.

In 2017 he formed an events company called Sheer Solutions Africa. He would later organise and performed his second one-man show called, "Man from Ombokolo 2".

Last year, Salvado started a new show called The Salvado Show which premiered on Pearl Magic Prime on DSTV.

Globe Traktion show host Persil Telewa was in Kampala, Uganda, to meet the funny man - Salvado who shares his journey, his family, and how he manages his celebrity status.
