Sin bins for yellow-card offences in football could be given the go-ahead soon

New rules in football that include the giving out of sin bins for yellow card offences in football could be given the go ahead as early as next month.

IFAB which is the games law-making body are set to look at the proposal at their annual meeting in London next month.

The measure has already been road tested by UEFA in amateur leagues, and if approved could be introduced into the professional game within the next three years.
