Former State House Comptroller Abraham Kiptanui dead

Abraham Kiptanui, the long-serving Comptroller of State House in President Daniel Moi’s tenure, is dead.

Kiptanui passed away at the Nairobi Hospital early Sunday morning. He had been admitted at the hospital for several weeks.

He served in the powerful position at State House until his retirement in 1996.
