Nairobi: President Uhuru Kenyatta has revoked the appointment of Bruce Odhiambo as Chairman of Youth Enterprise development Fund board over loss of money at the kitty.

"In exercise of powers conferred to me by section 7 (3) of the State Corporations Act Cap 446, I, Uhuru Kenyatta, President of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, revoke the appointment of Bruce Odhiambo as the Chairman of the Chairman of Youth Enterprise development Fund,” read a letter dated April 8.

Also revoked is the appointed of seven board members; Stella Bongoko, Paul Gathura Ng'ang'a, Sabra Omar Hussein, Jane Mutinda, Mike Wamae, Clement Ayungo and Nichola Mwaniki.

The State Corporations’ Advisory Committee had recommended to President Uhuru Kenyatta that the entire youth fund board should go home.

Public Investments Committee has been investigating the loss of Sh180 million from the fund. Odhiambo had been quoted as a recipient of Sh3.3 million from a firm linked to the scam and had stepped aside last month to allow for investigations.
