Utalii College ranked fourth best in world at Indian fete

Kenya Utalii College is the fourth best tourism institution in the world according to the just concluded Young Chef Olympiad.

The Young Chef Olympiad was held in Kolkata, India, from January 26 –February 1, 2016. The institution, which was represented at the Olympiad by Food Production student Catherine Wanjiku Waruingi, who was accompanied by Chef Elolia Kitum, also produced the World's Best Dessert.

The competition attracted student chefs from 51 countries across the world. A statement issued by the Nairobi-based college Sunday indicated that it registered a sterling performance following months of preparation for the event, which is held every year.
