Kenyan firms stopped from selling UK products

Nairobi: Two pharmaceutical companies have been stopped from trading in products belonging to some UK based companies.

High Court Judge Jackline Kamau ordered Ripples Pharmaceuticals and Metro Pharmaceutical Limited to stop holding and selling products owned by Vitabiotics Limited and Harleys Limited until a case they have filed is heard and determined.

The Vitabiotics and Harleys have accused the two pharmaceuticals of trading in their products without authority. Justice Kamau said the UK based companies have presented sufficient evidence that warrants the issuance of such orders. The matter will be heard inter parties on September 15 after the High Court vacation.
