Kenya Reinsurance Corporation (Kenya Re) has received a favourable rating from Global Credit Ratings (GCR), a Johannesburg-based agency. GCR has affirmed the national scale claims paying ability rating assigned to Kenya Re of AA (KE). The outlook is denoted as Stable. The agency also affirmed the reinsurer’s international scale claims-paying ability at BB. The validity period of the rating ends in July next year. Kenya Re Managing Director Jadiah Mwarania (above) said the firm would strive for better ratings next year.
