Police have offered a reward of Sh500,000 to anyone with information that could help unravel Uhuru Park blasts that claimed six lives.
Commissioner of Police Mathew Iteere said the force was keen to know the authors of the explosions and asked anyone with information on the same to either call a hotline number 0729999988 or send an e-mail to [email protected].
Informers can also visit the Anti-terrorism police headquarters in Nairobi, CID offices at Central and Kilimani divisions or CID headquarters along Kiambu Road.
Mr Iteere said investigation was in progress but no arrest had been made yet. He added the detectives handling the case have taken statements from various witnesses and victims but they need more information.
Iteere also asked the public to stop speculating on the possible perpetrators, saying that may polarise the country and instead tell the police in confidence what they know.
"This is a crime against Kenya and any loving Kenyan with information regarding the same should come forward and help us. We will give him or her a reward," said the police boss.
He added: "We want to identify the nature of the explosive device used, the persons responsible for the serious crime and the motive behind it. But we are certain they were grenades," he said.
The commissioner also said the officers handling the investigation are equal to the task, adding they would concentrate on key angles to get to the root of the attack.
Among the angles include the proponents of the proposed law, those opposed to it, extremists and those who are neither opposed to it nor backing it.
Extremist groups include religious and social gangs.
The blasts went off on Sunday after 6.20pm as a group of religious leaders conducted an impromptu fund-raising after a rally to oppose the proposed law.
The leaders had asked the congregation to donate money that would enable them conduct more rallies.
