Nairobi; Kenya: Jamii Bora Bank has finalised its Sh250 million system upgrade. The system will go live on Tuesday.

The upgrade dubbed "Project Duma" began in April 2014, with the objective of turning the existing core banking system into a modern, integrated technology platform that will facilitate efficient processes, flexibility in operations and dynamic product innovation.

The system has been upgraded from Bankers Realm to BR.Net. Chief Executive Samuel Kimani described the upgrade as a major milestone in the bank's quest to improve customer service experience and market competitiveness.

"We are very excited to have completed this project which gives us the capacity to take our business to the next level and are really looking forward to Tuesday when our customers will begin to enjoy a new service experience," said Kimani.
