The LUKOS Energy Basketball League was conceived upon assessing the status of Basketball in western Kenya.

“I had previously supported teams in other leagues and I saw the need to come up with a bigger league that would converge talents in the larger Western Kenya, and through it create a platform for talent development, and avail opportunities for youngsters to join topflight leagues.

“This dream was actualized with input from PACHO360 who have tirelessly worked to ensure our first season is a success.

“The response has been positive and we've seen good turnouts and passion in all our circuits. We had also been fortunate enough to attract attention from learning institutions and I believe this league will be significant to their growth.

“We looking into a future where more teams will join the league and we plan to built better structures by inviting other partners to ensure each season is not only a success but also positively impacts individuals and the community.

“The All Star event is the first step to this goal as it brings together players from both conferences, the community, and partners to ensure its success.

“As an annual event, we look forward to seeing it take place in all regions that host our circuits,” said Elekiah Anguko CEO Lukos Energy League Basketball League.

Winners of the events are expected to come out with bragging rights as well as medals and other accolades. Other areas to be rewarded include all star MVP, 3 point shooting champ and dunking champ
