How jilted lover took revenge on his ex

A man in Nairobi's Embakasi estate has been charged with attempting to set on fire the house of another man who allegedly snatched a woman from him. Christant Mutuku, 32, according to court details, attempted to torch the house on September 21. A day prior to the attempted arson, Mutuku is stated to have met the man who is said to have eloped with his former girlfriend and allegedly cautioned him against the move. On the stated day, the accused is claimed to have sneaked into the residential place of the man in question armed with a jerrycan containing some substance.

It is said that he poured the unknown substance suspected to be petrol at the man's door before running away. Mutuku is accused of assaulting and injuring the sister of her former girlfriend on the same day.
