The rise and fall of the Naivasha dry port

Kenya Railways and Kenya Ports Authority officials offload cargo from the SGR train to the Meter Gauge Railway cargo train at the Inland Container Depot in Mai Mahiu Naivasha for onwards transportation to Malaba.

The move by the Jubilee Government to construct the Naivasha Dry Port in 2019 was met with cheers and jeers.

Many termed the dry port a game changer for residents of Mai Mahiu where it's located, and the larger Nakuru County.
