E-procurement a must, State firms told

Procurement officers in all Government institutions including State corporations and county governments have been requested to ensure their organisations abide by the law and use the IFMIS, e-Procurement system.

Speaking to procurement officials from all State entities at a refresher workshop in Nairobi today, IFMIS Director Jerome Ochieng said Section 227 of the Constitution of Kenya requires the National Treasury to establish a system for procurement of goods and services that is fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective.
