Kenya's GSU Recce finest Belinda Akoth has won Gold at the EAPCCO Games in Rwanda.
Kenya was placed second overall in the hotly contested Marksmen showpiece which took place at the Counter Terrorism Training Center (CTTC) Mayange shooting range over the weekend, as the hosts Rwanda lifted the crown.

The week-long Inter-Forces tournament which brings together eight Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) member countries kicked off March 21 with a colourful opening ceremony at the Kigali Pele Stadium
The contest is featuring 13 sports disciplines which include football, handball, netball, volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, athletics, darts, Karate, Taekwondo, Judo, boxing and shooting.
Kenya's shooting sports podium finishers were led by Belinda Akoth who scooped Gold, Inspector of Police Sarah Sindoi who bagged silver and the men's moving target (pistol) team which also bagged a silver.

Over 1250 players constituting 83 teams are representing their countries and Police institutions, with the men having registered 55 teams while the women registered 28 teams.
Participating countries include Kenya, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and the host Rwanda.
The 4th edition of the EAPCCO Games is being held under the theme - Fostering Police cooperation in fighting transnational organized crimes through sports.
The main purpose for the Games is to strengthen police cooperation in fighting transnational organized crime, promote Police officers talents and enhancing community policing among Police organizations by sharing the best practices and experiences.
The maiden EAPCCO Games were held in 2017 in Uganda, Tanzania hosted the second edition in 2018 and the third edition was held in Kenya in 2019.
The Kenyan team to Rwanda was accompanied by Saiya Baraza AIG, Rono Bunei, AIG and the team Manager David Ng'etich.
