Leaders praise Harambee Stars after historic win over Morocco

Harambee Stars, has received an outpouring of praise from leaders after their stunning 1-0 victory against Morocco in a Group A match at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.
The win came despite the Stars being reduced to 10 players after midfielder Chrispin Erambo was shown a red card.
President William Ruto hailed the team's resilience and fighting spirit.
"The resilient, indomitable Kenyan spirit has roared to life at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani! Harambee Stars stood tall, defying the odds to defeat one of the tournament's giants, Morocco, even after being reduced to 10 men," said Ruto.
"Kenya is rising. We are conquering arenas where no one thought we could stand, let alone triumph. This is Kenya. We believe. We fight. We rise."

The president also promised to honour his pledge of Sh1 million per player, adding "Mumecheza kama nyinyi. Sasa nitacheza kama mimi!"
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi lauded the team for their unity and determination.
"With grit, heart, and unity, you triumphed over Morocco even with 10 men on the pitch. You've shown the world the spirit of Kenya-undaunted, determined, and destined for greatness."
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula praised the "resilient 10 men" for their sweet victory against the reigning champions, while Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen called the performance "brilliant" and full of "pure patriotism."
The Harambee Stars' win over the Atlas Lions is one of Kenya's most inspiring football moments rekindling hopes of continental glory.
