The case facing Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria was Monday adjourned to September 1 after the prosecution said it was not ready to proceed despite the defence’s readiness.
The prosecution failed to produce witnesses hence paralysing proceedings. Mr Gikaria is accused of stealing 300 wheelbarrows, 500 Y-12 pipes and four water tanks all valued at Sh2 million.
His lawyer, Pascal Mbeche, revealed that Gikaria’s case file had been presented to the Director of Public Prosecutions for perusal and was yet to be made available to him.
