Inside the coffin was a black hen with a rosary tied around its neck, a snail and an item wrapped up in a polythene bag.
Villagers thronged the home and milled around the coffin to find out what it contained.

It took several hours before police officers, who visited the scene, opened it.
Sylvester Okore, who found the coffin next to his gate, said his herdsman woke him up to inform him about the coffin.
"I was shocked, and after confirming, I immediately informed area assistant chief who alerted police at Riat police post,” he said.
He suspects a close relative could be behind the dumping of the coffin.
Another resident, who sought anonymity, alleged that the incident could be related to a land dispute between two brothers.
