It was pomp and colour as County Executive for Finance and Planning Paul Nabuin presented the 2015/16 Financial Year budget estimates to the assembly, one of the biggest budgets in the country.
Elegantly dressed in a white shirt, black trouser, and a bright-red tie, the executive walked down the corridors of the assembly in style.
Mr Speaker, it is with lots of humility that I present to this county for the first time, the policy highlights of our third budget of Governor Josphat Nanok's administration for the Fiscal year 2015/16," said Mr Nabuin.
The budget totalling Sh13.4 billion will get a major share from the equitable share.
"We are getting an equitable share of Sh10.2 billion. The other section will be Sh2.4 billion, which was carried forward from the last financial year. The rest we are getting from donors like the Turkana-United Nations joint programme, World Bank, Danish International Development Agency and from local revenue collection," he added.

"We will shift more resources from recurrent to development expenditure," said Nabuin, adding that budget is focused on achieving the County Integrated Plan.
Lokiriama Ward Rep Patrick Imana said the budget as fair.
