Two-time Olympic 800m champion and world record holder 'King' David Rudisha has given an update on his condition after undergoing successful surgery on Saturday.

Rudisha underwent successful surgery to remove an implant on his left ankle that has been there for the last one and half a year.

The 32-year-old posted an x-ray photo on his official social media accounts on Monday to provide an update to his fans on his status after surgery and in doing so, he took the opportunity to hint at making a comeback after a long injury lay-off.

Rudisha was the first Kenyan to win the prestigious IAAF World Athlete of the Year award in 2010 and has won a record three consecutive track and field Athlete of the Year awards as he tied with Carl Lewis.
