Results of the final verification for the 1.4 million signatures collected by the Third Way Alliance seeking a constitutional amendment will be out on Friday, the group's leader Ekuro Aukot has said.
Dr Aukot said after Friday, the Bill detailing the proposals in the amendment process would go to county assemblies.
Third Way Alliance submitted the signatures to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission on April 28 under its "Punguza Mzigo" initiative.
"We drafted a Bill seeking to amend the Constitution through a popular initiative as per Article 257, (1) after collecting 1.4 million signature," said Aukot
Party Secretary General Fredrick Okango affirmed that the Third Way Alliance had met all the constitutional requirements to push for the popular amendments.
He explained that the initiative by Third Way Alliance was in the form of a general suggestion, and that is why it was formulated as a draft Bill.
