Five family members hospitalized after Hyena attack in Taita hills

Her son had one of his fingers severed. Taita DCIO Richard Cheruiyot said a neighbour who had answered a distress call was also injured in the attack. Tsavo Conservation Area Assistant director George Osuri said villagers killed the hyena. “The animal could have been hungry. It may have strayed into people’s settlements in search of food. We are investigating the matter,” said Mr Osuri.
