Mudavadi calls for arrest of individuals behind dam scandal

Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi (pictured) has called for the arrest of individuals behind the Arror-Kimwarer dams scandal.

Speaking after attending church service at Singore Catholic Church in Elgeyo Marakwet on Sunday, Mr Mudavadi said corruption suspects should carry their own cross and stop involving their tribes.

The ANC leader said those mentioned should be sincere to the electorate instead of claiming that investigations into corruption cases are targeting their communities.

“Majority of Kenyans are languishing in abject poverty while some are dying of hunger while the corrupt are roaming,” he said.

He praised Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos for standing with his people in condemning the scandals associated with the two dams in the county.

On the handshake, the ANC leader asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to make real their deal with Opposition leader Raila Odinga by ensuring looters of the funds are arrested and charged.

Leaders who accompanied Musalia included Kanu chairman Paul Kibet, Jubilee politician Kevin Okwara and ODM chairman, Keiyo South, Micah Kigen.

Mudavadi also sought blessings from clan elders and spiritual leaders in Keiyo North, a place where his late father, Moses Mudavadi, once lived.
