Migori: Three gunmen kill trader outside his house

Police in Kuria West are investigating the murder of a shopkeeper.

Patrick Ghati Gake was shot by a gang of three on Monday night at Ikerege market.

According to Kuria West OCPD Jacob Walukhu, the trader was ambushed at his gate at around 8PM.

"He was killed at the gate to his home. Nothing was taken from his home or shop. We suspect their mission was to kill and not to steal," said Mr Walukhu.

 Joseph Chacha, a neighbour, said the businessman was shot in the head and chest.

“At around 8PM, we heard multiple gunshots. When we went out to see what was happening, we found Ghati's body lying in a pool of blood," said Mr Chacha.
