EFP Party Chairman Issak Abey condemn terror attack on 14 Riverside Drive

Terror has no room in Kenya and it shall be defeated when Kenyans work together and work with security apparatus, Economic Freedom party (EFP) Issak Abey has said.

Mr. Abey congratulated security agencies for swift and professional action to put to an end the terror attack on the 14 Riverside Drive complex that includes the DesuitD2 hotel in Nairobi.

According to Government reports 1peopel lost their lives whilst 700 were evacuated by the multi-sectoral anti-terror agencies including help from international partners.

“As Economic Freedom Party, we applaud our security agencies for the professional manner in which they handled the operation and bringing this episode to an end within less than 24 hours,” said Mr. Abey in a statement release to the newsrooms.

He noted that terror is an act of cowardice and will never be used as a weapon to divide a nation whose citizenry is resolute in moving forward as one people in search of prosperity for the current and future generation.

“We condemn in the strongest term possible the act of terror meted against the peaceful land of Kenya,” he said.

He said that Kenya’s spirit of resilience and zero-tolerance to terror in all its forms and elements has been evident in the manner we all came out to respond to the situation.

Mr Abey encouraged Kenyans to come out and donate blood to save the lives of those who are admitted in different hospitals.

“We appeal to all our supporters and all Kenyans of goodwill to continue donating blood to the different hospitals where the injured are receiving medical attention including M.P Shah, Avenue, Kenyatta and Aga Khan Hospitals,” he asked.

Appreciating that the war on terror is yet to be won he appealed to Kenyans to be vigil and corporate with our security apparatus and offer information on any suspicious acts of terror so as to make the Nyumba Kumi initiative achieve its goals of preempting acts of terror and violence extremism.

He sent condolences to the kin of those who perished in the heinous attacks.

“We send our heartfelt condolences to family and friends of those who have lost their lives to heinous acts of the terrorists who attacked innocent Kenyans and other nationalities at the 14 Riverside Drive yesterday,” he said.
