Kalonzo flies to Kabarak, meets former President Moi

A statement from the office of former President Daniel arap Moi said Moi implored the leaders to forge friendship rather than disintegration because the future of the country was in their hands. "Some of you will be presidents and ministers in charge of the country. You need to take time and know the whole country and develop friendship," Moi said. Kalonzo thanked Mzee Moi for standing with him and his family when he lost his father. On November 9 during the burial of his dad, he promised to honour an invite to visit Moi. Other leaders who have visited Moi in the past include President Uhuru Kenyatta, NASA leader Raila Odinga, Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
