The County Assembly, which has been hit by persistent wrangles, is set to have new leadership after MCAs agreed to dissolve all positions and committees.

The MCAs have agreed to re-constitute all committees in a week's time, only days after they met ODM leader Raila Odinga following chaos at the assembly.

Majority leader Ken Onyango yesterday rallied the MCAs and all agreed to reconstitute House committees.

The move is part of the radical steps taken by majority members, who alleged bias in initial composition of the committees.

"We agreed that in two weeks we hold fresh elections for House committee seats," said Chair of the Budget Committee Steve Owiti, who also lost his position.

Besides, the MCAs agreed by consensus to appoint new members of the County Assembly Service Board.
