Investigators probing a rape claim against Cristiano Ronaldo want to question British actress Gemma Atkinson about her love life with the soccer superstar.

The Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star is among several exes who attorneys for his alleged victim want to quiz.

It comes after Las Vegas Police last week reopened their case into a claim by American Kathryn Mayorga that she was raped by Ronaldo in June 2009.

Juventus star Ronaldo, a father of four and worth around £350million, has vehemently refuted the claims.

Gemma, 33 – who starred on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing – dated Ronaldo in 2007.

Others who could be questioned under oath include Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and supermodel Irina Shayk.

There is no suggestion he assaulted any of them.

Lawyers acting for Ms Mayorga would ask them about his behaviour while he was with them.

Leslie Stovall, lead attorney for Ms Mayorga, 34, told the Sunday Mirror: “Past girlfriends will have a great insight into his conduct.

“Civil depositions are part of the discovery process in Nevada and a very important step in the litigation process. It will help build a picture of Mr Ronaldo’s behaviour which could prove vital to our case.

“I want to speak to any girlfriend who knew or knows him intimately. I will travel to the UK if I need to.

“Kathryn is determined no one else should suffer like she has. We will leave no stone unturned in pursuit of that.”

During a deposition, former girlfriends and lovers of 33-year-old Ronaldo would be quizzed in the presence of lawyers representing both sides.

The process – often videoed – is carried out as if they were in court.

Ms Mayorga’s team also want to trace one woman, now 40, who claims Ronaldo assaulted her during his Manchester United days.

Ronaldo, 20 at the time, was arrested on suspicion of rape over the alleged incident at London’s Sanderson Hotel.

He and a second man, in his thirties, were accused of assaulting two women after United’s 3-2 win at Fulham on October 1, 2005. The forward told pals he had been “stitched up”.

One woman withdrew her complaint and the Crown Prosecution Service ruled there was insufficient evidence to push ahead in relation to the other.

Mr Stovall added: “We are actively looking for this woman. She may hold information that may help us in our case. It is important we talk with her.”

The Sunday Mirror has also learned Ms Mayorga’s team are reviewing a well-documented incident in 2007 in which hookers reportedly went to his home near Manchester for a poolside orgy.

Five girls from Leeds were said to have partied with players after United beat Spurs.

Ms Mayorga, meanwhile, went public with her claim after filing a lawsuit in Las Vegas 10 days ago.

According to her court papers, she went to a nightclub called Rain in the Palms Hotel.

She says she was invited by Ronaldo to go to his 57th floor penthouse along with a group of people.

Ms Mayorga – formerly a model and teacher – claims some guests used a hot tub on the balcony and she says Ronaldo offered her shorts and a T-shirt because she didn’t have a swimsuit.

She claims he later assaulted her.

Ms Mayorga – now in hiding after death threats from fans of Ronaldo – reported the alleged incident to police and went to a hospital the same day.

Las Vegas Police have confirmed responding to a call of a sexual assault on June 13, 2009.

They said the alleged victim provided neither a location of the incident nor a description of the suspect.

Police said she did receive a medical exam.

Ms Mayorga claims she feared for her safety and says she was told she would be humiliated if she pressed charges.

She said she brokered a £288,000 hush money deal and agreed to never discuss the alleged incident again. But she is now trying to overturn the agreement – alleging she was bullied into it.

Ronaldo – who scored for Italian giants Juve in their 2-0 win at Udinese last night – has denied any wrongdoing.

He told his 75 million Twitter followers: “I firmly deny the accusations. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in.

“Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense. My clear conscious (sic) will thereby allow me to
await with tranquillity the results of any and all investigations.”

Ever since turning professional in 2002, the Portuguese star has been linked to a string of actresses, models and socialites.

Gemma Atkinson once said their romance was “really, really glamorous”.

She also told how on their first date they enjoyed cups of tea at her house while watching sitcom Only Fools and Horses.

A representative for Gemma last night said she did not wish to comment.

After leaving Man United for Real Madrid in 2009 – and around the time of the alleged rape – Ronaldo briefly dated American socialite Paris Hilton, 37.

The following year US reality TV star Kim Kardashian, also 37, was seen in Madrid and spending time with Ronaldo.

His longest relationship was with Russian Irina Shayk, 32, from 2010-2015.

Ronaldo became a dad to Cristiano Ronaldo Jr in June 2010, announcing he had full custody of his child and would not publicly reveal who the mother was.

Last year he said he had fathered twins – Eva Maria and Mateo – via a surrogate in the US. And last November, girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, 23, gave birth to their daughter Alana Martina.

If Ronaldo faces legal proceedings he could be extradited to the US under a treaty agreement with Italy.
