Senate committee to introduce Data Protection Bill

The chairman of the Senate committee on ICT Gideon Moi has a word with Kwale senator Boy Juma Boy Jr (C) and his Kitui counterpart Enoch Wambua during a retreat in Simba Lodge Naivasha on 8th May. The committee said that its input was never sought before the suspended Cyber crime act was published into law.

The Senate Committee on ICT says it has to be involved in the amendment of the Cyber Crime Act which was recently suspended by the High Court.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, who chairs the committee, said their input had been ignored before the Act was published into law.
