Arsenal made their first signing of the summer just as Unai Emery was announced as new Gunners' boss.

Estonian wonderkid Karl Jakob Hein has teamed up with the Emirates' sides - who will continue to put their faith in youth under their new Spanish boss.

The 16-year-old joins from Nomme United on a free transfer and will join up with Arsenal's under-18 team.

He has already played for his country in the Euro U17 championships but has yet to be on the winning side for Estonia.

The youngster will be monitored by Emery who has agreed to become the new Arsenal manager.

The Spaniard replaces Arsene Wenger in the Emirates hotseat after the Frenchman stepped down after 22 years in north London.

Emery, 46, left French side Paris St Germain at the end of their campaign following a two-year stint during which he won one Ligue 1 title and four domestic cups.

Previously, Emery led Sevilla to three successive Europa League trophies - a proven track record which seemingly saw him emerge as the preferred candidate ahead of former Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta for the Emirates Stadium job.

On Tuesday evening, the homepage of Emery's personal website displayed a picture of the Spaniard alongside an Arsenal crest.
