The National Super Alliance, Jubilee Party and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officials held a day-long meeting on 27th September 2017 to discuss solutions to the political stalemate.

However, head of the Jubilee Party Secretariat Raphael Tuju said that the parties failed to reach the ‘substance’ of what was supposed to be discussed and another meeting will be held today.

NASA leaders still insist that they will not participate in any election if IEBC officials found to have committed election malpractices are not dealt with.

Top of their ‘removal’ list is IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, who stated that he had no plans to resign but was focused on the preparations for the October 26th election.

Jubilee leaders have also been criticised by NASA for attacking Supreme Court judges.

NASA, through their flag bearer Raila Odinga, vowed to hold protests seeking to remove Chiloba from office.

When police officers decided to break up the NASA demonstrations in Nairobi using teargas, this officer was unable to withstand the irritating effects of the anti-riot weapon.









As tears rolled down her cheeks, not even her helmet was of any use and she eventually had to take it off as she ran for the nearest water bottle to wash her eyes.
