Night guard killed by robbers in Kakamega

A watchman was killed on Friday night and property worth millions of shillings stolen at Mwamba shopping centre in Lugari sub-county.

Alex Ambani was killed outside Lavonga Bar, which he guarded. Bar owner Noah Ndunde said he learnt of the incident in the morning when one of his workers went to open the bar.

Ndunde said the robbers stole a 40-inch Samsung TV set, a music system and Sh40, 600 in cash.

“This is the sixth time my business has been attacked in two years,” he said. Lumakanda deputy OCPD Antony Njeru said they are investigating the incident.
