Nairobi, Kenya: Former Meru Governor Peter Munya has defected to Jubilee after barely a week in NASA as his PNU Party endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.

The former Meru Governor Peter Munya who formally joined NASA as the sixth principal was welcomed by NASA Co Principal and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi barely a week ago.

Munya’s support for NASA complicated matters in PNU whose new leader is former President Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta’s ally.

During the campaigns NASA had supported a reluctant Munya who knew the value of being associated with Jubilee’s presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta.
