Chama Cha Mashinani calls off nominations for lack of ballot papers

Chama Cha Mashinani was forced to call off its nominations in Bomet County for lack of ballot papers and poor voter turnout.

The party's election board was forced to call off the exercise in Bomet Central and Chepalungu constituencies at the last minute, a move that angered aspirants and party supporters who had lined up in polling stations.

CCM National Election board chairman Christopher Lomada said the party was forced to take the action due to unavoidable circumstances.
