Siaya County ocals benefit from free medical camps

Some 2,000 underprivileged residents of Siaya County benefited from a two-day free medical camp.

The Sh2.6 million project is a partnership between the county government and Siaya Professionals Trust. County Executive Member for  Health, Dr Olango Onudi said: "The medical camps meant to improve access to healthcare services to local communities  and is being undertaken by health professionals from Siaya and Nairobi."

Speaking at Sega Township Primary, in Ugenya where they one of the camps was held, Dr Onudi said some of the health services offered were; nutrition, reproductive health, eye, dental checkup and treatment, maternity services, jigger infestation treatment and HIV/AIDS guidance and counseling and testing services.
