Maasai Mara University students barricaded the Narok-Bomet Road protesting against the beating of their colleague who was allegedly found having sex with a boda boda operator’s wife.
The students burned tyres and stoned vehicles before they were dispersed by anti-riot police officers. “We cannot allow a comrade to be harassed by anyone over anything,”one student yelled. Police lobbed teargas canisters to the students and arrested tens of them.
