Cattle rustlers along the Kisumu-Kericho border will now be charged with robbery with violence as opposed to stock theft.

 A joint security meeting convened by county commissioners Maalim Mohammed (Kisumu) and Mukhtar Abdi (Kericho) also resolved that victims of the trade would be compelled to be State witnesses so as to help the prosecution build tight cases against the suspects.
